Summary

Looking for an extremely affordable shower with great performance? Then the Mira Vie is just the shower you need. The Mira Vie is an excellent replacement shower as it is not only inexpensive, but also its flexible fittings make it really easy to install.

In addition, it features advanced pressure stabilised temperature control which ensures consistent performance, so you don’t have to worry about sudden changes in temperature. While this is one of Mira’s entry-level showers, it surprisingly includes their Clearscale™ technology, which is designed to lower the build-up of limescale by up to 50%, making the Vie last a whole lot longer than other showers on the market.

As well as Clearscale™, The Mira Vie comes with super-simple power and temperature controls. Just select your chosen temperature setting and you won’t have to configure it again. You are also covered with a two-year warranty for peace of mind.

Temperature Controls

On the Vie, the temperature is customisable using the dial underneath the flow mode selection dial and above the power button, which you can “set and forget”. All you then have to do is power on the shower with the button and that’s it.

Some things to consider with this model is that, as this is one of their cheapest showers, it does not come with things like; phased shutdown, maximum temperature factory setting, or Mira’s Sensi-flo™ (designed to prevent scalding), which does not come as a surprise as it is an extremely low-cost shower.

Power Consumption

With regard to power consumption, the Vie range comes in three, kilowatt ratings: 8.5kW, 9.5kW, and 10.8kW. All three of them are ranked A in terms of energy efficiency, making the Mira Vie very economical to use. Shower Head

This shower comes with a 90mm handheld one that has one spray pattern. This is one of the more budget-friendly Mira shower heads, hence why it has just one spray pattern. However, one great thing about it, is all the nozzles are rub-clean, making this shower head very easy to clean and maintain.

Design

As mentioned earlier, this shower comes in two colours; White and Chrome, and in my opinion, the chrome option has a really nice look to it. Also, as discussed earlier, it is one of their lower-range models and so therefore you are paying a lot less but getting a pretty nice-looking shower. I particularly like the chrome detailing as well.

In terms of functionality, the Mira Vie has simple power controls, being activated with just a push of a button. So, if you have already configured your temperature settings and flow option, you can just press the power button and enjoy your shower.

Mira Clearscale™ Technology

As seen with all the best Mira electric showers, the Mira Vie also comes with Mira’s Clearscale™ technology, which should reduce limescale by up to 50%. This means that it will last longer and save you from having to replace it. Inside this electric shower, the coil has been designed in such a way that there are fewer areas for limescale to build up. In addition, the design of the coil also means that there is more space for water to flow, making it harder for limescale to build up. The rub-clean nozzles in their shower head are also part of the Clearscale™ system too.

Warranty

The Vie comes with a two-year warranty, ensuring that it can be purchased with confidence and peace of mind. It is important to mention that this two-year warranty only covers domestic installations. For non-domestic installations, the Mira Vie is covered for just one year.

Verdict: Should You Buy The Mira Vie?

The Mira Vie has several great reasons why this should be your next replacement. Its incredibly cheap, flexible installation means you can either retrofit older Mira electric showers or cover existing holes from other brand showers, features Mira Clearescale™, and comes with a two-year warranty.

The area where it misses the mark is the temperature controls. As mentioned earlier, there is no max temperature setting, phased shutdown or any “anti-scald” system of any kind. This is fairly common and expected with cheaper models. Ultimately, you get what you pay for.

With that said, for the price and the number of features it has, you really can’t go wrong with this shower.
