The Platinum Dual includes both the Mira 360 shower head and the luxurious 250mm deluge. The Mira 360 is only included with premium showers and features their Flipstream™ technology which offers one flip action and four spray patterns; Rain, Burst, Storm, Cloud. You can either use one shower head at a time or both simultaneously, allowing you to create that perfect shower experience. Additionally, both shower heads also have rub-clean nozzles, making cleaning and maintenance a breeze.

On top of looking like some otherworldly piece of technology, the Platinum Dual is finished in a sleek black and chrome. It’s quite unique from most showers in that it is powered using digital technology, how many people do you know with a digital shower?!

Secondly, as with most digital showers, there is no need to have that clunky mixing valve box visible in your shower room. It is designed to be out of the way; installed under the bath, in the attic, airing cupboard, etc. Which is something that just isn’t possible with a traditional shower, allowing you to achieve a more futuristic and contemporary aesthetic in your bathroom or shower. 

There are two options of installation; Ceiling Fed or Rear Fed. The one you choose will depend on the configuration of your shower and whether you have suitable space to install it.

The wireless controller, as the name suggests, is completely wireless. This means you can use it remotely to control the Platinum Dual. It can be used up to 10m away from the digital valve box. This ultimately means you could activate the shower from your bed!

With the wireless controller you can:

• Power on/off the shower
• Choose the flow (rotating the chrome bezel)
• Control the temperature
• Set run time and shower duration
• Pre-set or limit to eco mode
• Configure max temperature settings
• Display time

An excellent feature of this device is that you can connect up to 5 of them to your Mira Platinum Dual and place them in different locations – as long as up to 10m away from the digital valve box.

• The digital controller is powered via 3 x AAA batteries. With that said, they last approx 12-18months depending on usage. When dormant it turns itself off to save power.

So, should you get the Mira Platinum Dual? Why not?! For me, I love the fact that you can activate the shower from basically anywhere in your home. You can even turn it on from your bed! That alone makes it worth the purchase in my book!

As touched upon earlier, my only grumble with the Platinum Dual is that the wireless controller uses batteries to run. Ultimately, it makes sense why they went with batteries in terms of electrical safety, but for me, it reduces its appeal somewhat. In my opinion, it’s supposed to be a futuristic piece of tech but one of its main components is powered by batteries! That said, the wireless controller will last roughly 12-18 months depending on use, and it also powers down after being inactive for a while, in order to preserve battery life.

This shower will make an excellent upgrade to whatever model you have currently. It is a luxurious piece of kit, the mixer valve is out of sight, it comes with two great shower heads that can be run at the same time, and is covered by a huge 5-year warranty.
