Summary
The Mira Azora is a high-quality electric shower that has an impressive range of features. Being a top Mira electric shower, it naturally features Mira’s Clearscale™ technology, as well as the temperature being controlled via thermostat. This makes it both efficient and effective.
In addition to Clearscale™, it also features Mira’s Sensi-flo™, which is designed to protect you against sudden surges of hot water. It’s finished in a cool polished chrome and the fascia is designed in a modern frosted glass, which in my opinion definitely beats the old-school style of plain, plastic white that is common among older and cheaper models.
Furthermore, the Mira Azora 9.8kW electric shower comes with a large shower head, featuring four different spray patterns, allowing you to build your perfect showering experience yourself.

Temperature Controls
For the Azora, in terms of temperature control, this is done via a Thermostatic SMA. For some context, SMA (Shape Memory Alloy) is a material that is extremely sensitive to temperature and therefore as it is part of the thermostat, it can react rapidly to any temperature changes. Electric showers that have thermostatic controls are able to maintain a stable temperature whether hot or cold, whilst also managing fluctuations in electrical and water supply, so having this feature is an excellent benefit.
Also, this model also benefits from Mira Sensi-flo™ technology which is designed to prevent scalding from occurring. Most other electric showers that have any kind of anti-scaling technology just have a thermal trip mechanism that stops and starts the power. Hot water can collect inside the shower during this time meaning that the user will be scalded when the power is turned back on. Sensi-flo™ works by detecting differences in the flow (e.g. a kink in the hose) and then stopping water from being heated. This makes the water temperature cool down as soon as possible.
Power Consumption
Considering the power consumption rate, the Azora has an electrical power rating of 9.8kW and is ranked A in terms of energy efficiency, making the Mira Azora very economical to use. To top this off, this shower outputs a very low volume of just 15dB which is pretty good for an electric shower. Here is the energy efficiency chart, from the manufacturer’s website.
Shower Head
The Mira Azora comes with a large 90mm handheld showerhead. This shower head has four spray actions to choose from: start, soothe, force and eco, though the eco is the same as the “start” spray pattern. Naturally, it has a rub-clean nozzle, making it very easy to clean and maintain its shiny sleek look.
Design
With regard to the design, this electric shower is extremely modern looking while also being functional too. The fascia is finished in frosted glass with the rest of the shower in a sleek polished chrome finish. The Azora has very simple power controls, activated with just the push of a button. It also has separate temperature and power controls, making it a totally seamless experience. You can also choose from 3 power settings as well.
Mira Clearscale™ Technology
The Mira Azora also comes with Clearscale™, which is designed to reduce limescale by 50%. This means it will last longer and save you having to replace it. To explain how it works, inside the shower the coil has been designed in such a way that there are less hotspots for limescale to build up. Also, the coils’ design also means that there is more space for water to flow, making it harder for limescale to settle and collect. The rub-clean nozzles in the shower head are also part of the Clearscale™ system, ensuring limescale build up is kept to a minimum.
Warranty
This product comes with a 2-year warranty, ensuring that it can be bought with confidence and peace of mind. It is important to note that the 2-year warranty only covers domestic installations. For non-domestic installations, the Mira Azora is covered for 1 year.

Verdict: Should You Buy The Mira Azora?
And that brings us to the end of our review. So, is the Mira Azora worth it or not? In my opinion, the answer is Yes. At the end of the day, you’d go for this shower if you would like to add some luxury to your bathroom and that is exactly what you get with this shower. Not to mention all the great features it has too.
In one of the less positive customer reviews, one consumer mentioned that they thought both the shower head and shower hose looked lower quality. Most, if not all, electric shower manufacturers supply their standard shower heads and hose, with the focus being on the electric shower unit itself. In this instance, if you are someone (like me) who would rather have a higher-quality shower head or hose then definitely check out the links below. Mira also does an upgraded version of this model known as the Mira Azora Dual, which comes with 2 shower heads, so definitely check that out.
Finally, one of my favourite aspects of the Mira Azora is its temperature safety features. I have owned many electric showers in my time, though not as good as this one! And I have been scalded more times than I would like to count! Knowing that I can enjoy a shower without that potential worry is extremely calming indeed!
