The Platinum comes with the Mira 360 shower head. This unique shower head features their Flipstream™ technology which offers one flip action and four spray patterns; Rain, Burst, Storm, Cloud. To make matters even better, this shower head has a rub-clean nozzle, making it simple to clean and maintain. 

As well as featuring otherworldly aesthetics, this digital shower is finished in a cool black and chrome. It is quite unique from most showers first of all in that it is a digital shower and so is controlled and works using digital technology.

Second, as with most digital showers, there is no need to have a clunky mixing valve box in your shower. It is designed to be installed in the attic, airing cupboard, under the bath etc, so well out of the way of your shower. This just isn’t possible with traditional showers, allowing you to achieve a more futuristic look in your bathroom. 

In terms of installation, there are two options; Ceiling Fed or Rear Fed.

The wireless controller is wireless and can be used up to 10m away from the digital valve box. This means you could literally activate your shower from your bed!

With the controller you can:

• Turn on/off the shower
• Select the flow (rotating the chrome bezel)
• Control the temperature
• Set run time and shower duration
• Pre-set or limited to eco mode
• Configure max temperature setting
• Display time

One excellent feature of these devices is that you can connect up to 5 of them to your Mira Platinum and place them in different locations – as long as up to 10m away from the digital valve box.

• The wireless controller is powered via 3 x AAA batteries. With that said, they last approx 12-18months depending on usage. When dormant it turns itself off to save power.

That brings us to the all-important question – should you get the Mira Platinum? My answer? Absolutely. I personally love the fact that you can turn on the shower from practically anywhere in your home. You can even turn on the shower from the comfort of your bed! I mean that surely counts for something?!

As mentioned earlier, my only gripe with the Platinum is that the wireless controller is powered via battery. Ultimately, it makes sense why they went with batteries in terms of safety but for me, it reduces its appeal. It is supposed to be this high-tech piece of kit but part of it is powered by batteries! That said, the wireless controller will last approx 12-18 months depending on use, and after a few seconds, it powers down, in order to save battery.

This shower is the perfect upgrade to whatever you have currently. It is a luxurious piece of kit, that is covered by a massive 5-year warranty for peace of mind. It is worth noting that there is an upgraded version of this called the Mira Platinum Dual – so be sure to check that out.
